My Nikah Sakinah is a matrimonial platform where singles meet, discover profiles, connect with one another, and communicate with the intention of finding a spouse.
By creating an account, purchasing a membership, accessing our website or application, or using any of our services, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree with these Terms & Conditions, please do not register for or use My Nikah Sakinah.
My Nikah Sakinah is an online matrimonial platform designed primarily for Muslims seeking marriage.
Registration is open to everyone, but the platform's target audience is Muslims who are serious about meeting someone for marriage.
Members create profiles, browse other members' profiles, take the initiative to connect with people they are interested in, and communicate after a connection has been accepted.
My Nikah Sakinah does not automatically match members or select a spouse for you.
By registering with My Nikah Sakinah, you confirm that:
My Nikah Sakinah may request additional information or verification where reasonably necessary.
My Nikah Sakinah recognises that, under Islamic principles, a Muslim man may marry more than one wife, subject to the requirements of Islamic law and applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which the marriage takes place.
Members are required to accurately disclose their current marital status and should clearly indicate if they are married and seeking an additional wife.
Members are responsible for ensuring that any marriage they enter into complies with all applicable religious and legal requirements.
My Nikah Sakinah does not determine whether a member is religiously or legally eligible to enter into a particular marriage.
Registration is open to everyone, although My Nikah Sakinah is primarily intended for Muslims seeking marriage.
Members may verify their accounts through Safaricom SMS or email verification.
Verification confirms access to the provided telephone number or email address. It is not a background check and does not constitute verification of a member's identity, marital status, character, intentions, financial position, religious practice, occupation, education, or personal history.
My Nikah Sakinah does not conduct background checks on members. We do not independently investigate or verify criminal history, employment, education, financial status, marital status, personal history or other background information.
Members are responsible for conducting their own due diligence before pursuing a relationship, sharing sensitive information, meeting another member, or entering into a marriage or other commitment.
My Nikah Sakinah is a fully paid platform and does not offer free trials.
Members may choose from the following membership options:
Membership begins when the selected package is successfully activated.
Members are responsible for reviewing and confirming their selected package before completing payment.
Payments must be made through the payment methods provided by My Nikah Sakinah.
A membership becomes active once payment has been successfully received and the selected package has been activated.
Membership fees are non-refundable once the membership has been activated, except where a refund is required under applicable law or expressly provided for by My Nikah Sakinah.
The connection guarantee described below is fulfilled through the applicable free membership renewal and is not redeemable for cash.
Members should retain their payment confirmation or transaction reference.
Where a payment is unsuccessful, reversed, duplicated or disputed, My Nikah Sakinah may investigate the transaction before activating, extending or restoring access.
Each membership package comes with a specific connection guarantee.
30-Day Membership
A member who purchases the 30-Day Membership is guaranteed at least one accepted connection during their membership period.
100-Day Membership
A member who purchases the 100-Day Membership is guaranteed at least four accepted connections during their membership period.
For purposes of this guarantee, a connection means that a member sends a connection request to another member and the other member accepts the request.
My Nikah Sakinah does not select or assign these connections. Members are responsible for browsing profiles and taking the initiative to send connection requests.
If a member does not achieve the number of guaranteed connections attached to their selected membership during that membership period, their membership will be renewed for free.
The free renewal is the remedy provided under the connection guarantee and cannot be exchanged for cash.
The connection guarantee does not guarantee marriage, engagement, compatibility, mutual attraction, continued communication, or any particular matrimonial outcome.
My Nikah Sakinah will determine whether the guarantee has been met based on the member's activity and platform records.
Members are responsible for taking the initiative to discover and connect with other members.
Members may:
The presence of a profile on My Nikah Sakinah does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation by My Nikah Sakinah.
Members may give My Nikah Sakinah permission to share their telephone number with another member.
A member may also request the telephone number of another member where the platform provides that option.
Members should only provide permission for their contact information to be shared when they are comfortable with that disclosure.
Once contact information has been voluntarily shared, My Nikah Sakinah cannot control how the recipient subsequently stores, uses, forwards or shares it.
Members must not use another person's contact information for harassment, spam, intimidation, fraud, commercial solicitation or any unlawful purpose.
Members may communicate directly after a connection request has been accepted.
My Nikah Sakinah is not a party to private conversations between members and does not guarantee the accuracy, honesty, intentions or conduct of any member.
Members are responsible for their own communications and decisions.
Members should exercise caution before sending money, passwords, financial information, identification documents or other sensitive information to another member.
Members must provide truthful and reasonably accurate information.
Members must not:
My Nikah Sakinah may restrict, suspend or terminate an account where it reasonably believes that information is false, deceptive, fraudulent or contrary to these Terms.
Members must not use My Nikah Sakinah to:
My Nikah Sakinah may use verification and moderation measures to help maintain a genuine matrimonial community.
However, no online platform can guarantee that every person is truthful, safe, compatible or acting in good faith.
Members are responsible for exercising appropriate caution and judgment when interacting with others.
Before meeting another member in person, members should take reasonable safety precautions, including meeting in an appropriate public place and informing someone they trust about their plans.
My Nikah Sakinah does not arrange or supervise meetings between members.
The connection guarantee described in Section 7 is limited to the stated number of accepted connections attached to the selected membership.
My Nikah Sakinah does not guarantee:
Any decision to pursue a relationship, engagement, marriage or other personal commitment is made entirely by the members involved.
Members remain responsible for the information, photographs and other material they upload.
By submitting profile information and photographs, you grant My Nikah Sakinah the permission necessary to host, display, process and make that information available to other members in accordance with your account settings, our Privacy Policy and your instructions.
You confirm that you have the right to submit any photograph, text or other material you upload.
My Nikah Sakinah may remove content that violates these Terms, applicable law, safety requirements or the interests of the platform and its members.
My Nikah Sakinah collects and processes personal information required to operate the platform, including information provided during registration, verification, profile creation, membership, communication and use of the service.
Certain information provided by members may constitute sensitive personal data under applicable Kenyan data protection law.
Personal data will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws and the My Nikah Sakinah Privacy Policy.
Members should review the Privacy Policy before using the platform.
My Nikah Sakinah may suspend, restrict or terminate an account where we reasonably believe that:
Where reasonably appropriate, My Nikah Sakinah may investigate complaints and take action based on available information.
My Nikah Sakinah may remove a profile or content where there is a reasonable basis to believe that it violates these Terms, applicable law, platform rules or the safety of members.
Removal of a profile does not necessarily create an entitlement to a refund where the account was suspended or terminated because of the member's breach of these Terms, subject to applicable law.
We aim to keep My Nikah Sakinah available and functioning properly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
The platform may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, software updates, security measures, hosting or infrastructure issues, network or telecommunications failures, third-party service interruptions, or events beyond our reasonable control.
Where possible, we will work to restore affected services.
The platform may depend on third-party services, including payment providers, SMS providers, email providers, hosting providers and other technology services.
My Nikah Sakinah is not responsible for failures caused solely by third-party services outside our reasonable control.
Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, My Nikah Sakinah is not responsible for losses, claims, injuries, disputes, damages or consequences arising from interactions or relationships between members where those matters result from the independent actions of the members.
This includes matters arising from communications between members, decisions to meet in person, relationships formed through the platform, engagements or marriages, financial transactions between members, false statements made by members, contact information voluntarily exchanged between members, and conduct occurring outside the My Nikah Sakinah platform.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless My Nikah Sakinah, its owners, employees, contractors and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of the platform, unlawful conduct, violation of another person's rights, information or content you submit, or your interactions or dealings with other members.
All platform content, branding, logos, designs, text, graphics, software and other materials belonging to My Nikah Sakinah are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, publish or commercially exploit our materials without prior written permission.
Members are encouraged to report suspicious, fraudulent, abusive or inappropriate behaviour through the reporting channels provided on the platform.
When a complaint is received, My Nikah Sakinah may review the available information and take appropriate action.
We may request additional information from the reporting member where reasonably necessary.
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our services, technology, legal requirements or business operations.
Where material changes are made, we will provide reasonable notice where required.
Continued use of the platform after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, subject to applicable law.
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Any dispute should first be brought to the attention of My Nikah Sakinah so that the parties may attempt to resolve the matter amicably.
Where a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it may be referred to the appropriate courts or dispute-resolution mechanism having jurisdiction.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be interpreted or modified to the extent necessary to make it enforceable where legally permitted.
The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
These Terms & Conditions, together with the Privacy Policy, applicable membership and guarantee terms, and any other policies expressly incorporated into the platform, constitute the agreement between you and My Nikah Sakinah concerning your use of the service.
